Description

This laboratory is the center for conducting hormone assays (radioimmunoassays) in blood serum and tissue. We routinely monitor serum concentrations of progesterone, produced by the corpus luteum, and estradiol, produced by the ovarian follicle in studies directed to better understand follicular growth and corpus luteum function in their roles to support oocyte maturation, ovulation, embryo development, and pregnancy survival in the bovine.
