Midwest Poultry Consortium

Kansas is a participating state in the Midwest Poultry Consortium. This program allows ASI students to attend classes at the University of Wisconsin to receive special instruction in advanced poultry-related courses. Three courses are offered over 6 weeks each summer. The program takes 1 or 2 summer sessions in which the students may take courses in such subjects as Avian Anatomy and Physiology and Avian Nutrition.

Most students receive scholarship support to offset the cost of the program. All courses will transfer to KSU. An internship for the remaining portion of the summer is included in the program. Students who have participated in the sessions have attended Veterinarian programs, graduate school, or accepted jobs in the poultry industry. For more information make an appointment with Dr. Beyer.
