ASI Family & Friends Invited "Home" for Reunion
Friday is fourth annual K-State ASI Family & Friends Reunion.
Join us Friday, October 12 for the fourth annual K-State Animal Sciences and Industry (ASI) Family & Friends Reunion. Hosted at the Stanley Stout Center in Manhattan, the event welcomes alumni and friends back "home" (to campus) and the opportunity to re-connect with friends, faculty, staff and students.
Starting at 5:30 p.m., the event will feature premium quality meats and dairy products, including pork, beef, chicken and lamb; live entertainment by Rusty Rierson, KSU ASI alum and noted country music artist; and a Junior Wildcat Barnyard area designed for the youngest members of the ASI family.
A highlight of this year's reunion will be the presentation of the Don L. Good Impact Award to the nation's leader in beef industry research, analysis and information, CattleFax.
The award, presented by the Livestock and Meat Industry Council Inc. (LMIC), is named in honor of Good, who is a former K-State ASI department head, and recognizes positive impact on the livestock and meat industry.
You won't want to miss the performance by the "best band in the land," the K-State Marching Band. Following the band's performance, attendees will participate in the Wildcat Walk. The band will form an aisle for attendees to enter the Stout Center led by Willie and the kids.
"This event provides the opportunity to reconnect with friends, recognize industry game changers, and rub elbows with some of the best protein producers in the United States, that Kansas State University has been responsible for building," says Patsy Houghton, Family and Friends Reunion chairman from McCook, Neb.
Walk-in registration will be available. For questions about the event, contact Lois Schreiner at 785-532-1267 or email@example.com.
