K-State College Rodeo
Since its founding in 1946, the K-State Rodeo Team at Kansas State University has built a proud tradition of excellence both in and out of the arena. As one of the Midwest’s premier collegiate rodeo programs, K-State Rodeo offers students the opportunity to compete across the NIRA Central Plains Region, host one of the largest student-run rodeos in the country, and become part of a tight-knit community that celebrates western heritage, leadership, and teamwork.
After more than 75 years of action inside Weber Arena, the program is entering an exciting new era with the Bilbrey Family Events Center, a brand new, state-of-the-art facility that will host its first K-State College Rodeo on February 19–22, 2026. This new home represents the next chapter for K-State Rodeo—offering modern amenities, expanded space, and new opportunities for students to learn, compete, and connect.
K-State Rodeo isn’t just for competitors, either. The K-State Rodeo Club welcomes all students who share an interest in this way of life. Club members help plan and run events, organize community activities, and play an essential role in keeping the K-State Rodeo tradition alive. The K-State Rodeo Team currently consists of 43 competing team members and 20+ active club members from all across campus. Whether you’re in the arena, behind the chutes, or cheering in the stands, there’s a place for everyone at K-State Rodeo.
