North American International Livestock Exposition Dairy Judging Contest The K-State Dairy Judging Team competed Sunday at the North American International Livestock Exposition Dairy Judging Contest held in Louisville, KY and was 10th Overall. The team also placed 8th in Reasons, 2nd in Brown Swiss, 5th in Guernsey, 10th in Holstein, and 11th in Jersey. Ms. Maggie Seiler was the 9th High Individual Overall, 12th High Individual Reasons, 2nd High Individual Brown Swiss, 12th High Individual Guernsey, 19th High Individual Holsteins, and 26th High Individual Jersey. Mr. Darren Mueller was 11th High Individual in Guernsey and 25th High Individual in Jersey. Ms. Amanda Strickler was 26th High Individual in Brown Swiss. The team is coached by Mr. Jon Pretz. A total of 20 teams competed. The team placed 7th High Team overall and 8th High Team in Reasons. In addition they were 3rd High Team in the Guernsey Breed. Kyle Jacobs finished 8th High Individual overall and 7th High Individual in Reasons. Amanda Strickler finished 5th High Individual in the Ayrshire Breed. KSU Dairy Judging Team 3rd Overall atWestern National Intercollegiate Dairy Judging Contest On Wednesday, May 16th, the KSU Dairy Judging Team competed in the Western National Intercollegiate Dairy Cattle Judging Contest which was held in conjunction with the 97th Black and White days in Richmond, Utah. Representing Kansas State University on team Purple was Nathaniel McGee, Darren Mueller, Maggie Seiler, and Andrea Steenbock. Team White consisted of Kyle Jacobs, Bryce Joonas, Todd Coen, and Katie Berglund. This is the highest finish for Kansas State at this contest. The team is coached by Jon Pretz. KSU - Purple finished 3rd place overall, 2nd high team reasons, and 4thteam placings. KSU - White finished 6th place overall and 5th high team reasons.
