Bio

In January of 2026 Christi Braudrick joined K- State University as their new Programs Coordinator/Rodeo Coach. Before joining K-State, Braudrick served as head coach of the Southeastern Oklahoma State University rodeo teams for 13 years. Before becoming a rodeo coach from 1997-2013 Braudrick was a coach/educator/director of special programs in public school education throughout Oklahoma and Texas.

Braudrick is a Southeastern Oklahoma State University graduate who competed as a member of the rodeo team from 1992-95 under legendary coach Betty Gayle Cooper-Ratliff and was a member of the1994 team that finished national runner-up at the College National Finals Rodeo.

She currently presides as the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association Roping Director and serves on the Board of Directors of the Women's Professional Rodeo Association and as Vice President of the NIRA Alumni association.

Professionally, Braudrick is a five-time Prairie Circuit Breakaway Roping Finalist. She is the Prairie Circuit Breakaway Roping Champion of 2023, and is a two-time Prairie Circuit Average Champion, which qualified her to the NFR Open twice. Before Pro Rodeo Breakaway was integrated professionally Braudrick qualified to the WPRA roping division finals (PWRA) in the breakaway, tie down, and barrel racing and in 1994 won the timed event rookie in the WPRA.

While guiding the Savage Storm rodeo squads, she has overseen four national event champions, 36 event central plains region champions, and posted six team central regional titles with the men andwomen. In 2018-19 Braudrick was awarded the Central Plains Region Coach of the Year.

As a student Braudrick taught western and equestrian riding through continuing education courses, while also helping to manage the equine, livestock and facility grounds. She also helped conduct rodeo camps and clinics. As an educator/coach she and her students have been well recognized for their success both athletically and academically.

Growing up in Tahlequah, Oklahoma Braudrick competed in rodeo in multiple events in junior rodeo associations, and the OHSRA where she was a breakaway roping champion and a two-time NHSRA top five finisher in the breakaway roping. Braudrick also competed throughout high school in sports where she was selected as an Oklahoma All State Basketball player.

Braudrick is a 1995 graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a BA in social studies education and received her Master of Education from SE in 2013.
